I am so pleased with my purchase that I was just giddy! This order came with 6 boxes of Kashi 7 Whole Grain Pilaf and each box had 3 - 6.5oz. packets inside. So, that's 18 packets (about 2 cups each) of the-tastiest-pilaf-I've ever had for $10.69 shipped!!

As I was stir-frying some veggies and keeping an eye on the pilaf, I was reading the box. I am so impressed. I knew it was "good for you," but something that tastes this great, is this hearty (not to mention the great bargain), I was sure I'd find a little sneaky bit of something naughty... nothing. Seriously. The ingredients are: Whole oats, Brown rice, Rye, Hard Red Winter Wheat, Triticale, Buckwheat, Barley, Sesame Seeds. That's it. It also boasts 6g of Protein per serving, no sugars or sodium.
OK, now I sound like a Kashi commerical.
My husband always rolls his eyes when I start rattling off the grain list, but really he loves it. He gushed about how much better he liked it than rice! My toddler also digs it - loves the little crunch to it. :) For the rest of the boxes, I'll use as side dishes, stuffing, or maybe some pilaf pudding -- it can awesome as a cold salad, too!
Anyway, still in my euphoria over the great deal and seeing that the boxes don't expire until 2011, I jumped back on to Amazon to order another 6 boxes. For $10.69, I can't afford to turn it down. I'll never find it in stores for $1.78 a box!
