My Shopping Loot This Week

We are very fortunate to live very close to all four major grocery stores out here. When weeks like this one come along and I feel compelled to pick up a thing or two at several stores, I don't feel the guilt (or stress) of going to multiple stores.

I'll skip shopping next week - maybe pick up some milk and any super hot deals that can't be missed! :) We'll also be using up leftover cheese, milk, peppers, yogurt, stuff from the freezer, and some other goodies from last week. Here's what I scored this week....

First stop: Safeway

I rarely, rarely buy red meat so this was an odd trip. I am planning on freezing the purchases and using them when we have guests over or need to take a beef-dish somewhere.

* 18ct. eggs - .99 w/ store coupon
* Butter - used .55 off blinkie that doubled
* 2- Hormel Deli turkey meats - .99 w/ store coupon plus used $.55 off Qs (doubled)
* 2-Hormel heat & serve roast beef entrees - 1.99 w/ store coupon plus used $2 off Qs
* 3.5lbs. of ground beef = $4.81
* Van Kamp's 44ct. fish sticks - .99 w/ store coupon plus $3 off Q (no longer available)
* Cantaloupe
* 3 Roma tomatoes
* Broccoli
* Organic carrots
* Gala apples (a boat load @ .69lb!!)
* 5lb. bag of Russet potatoes - Only .45!! (on sale for .99 plus used .55 off Q)
* Gardein meatless protein - FREE (they are not offering the free Q anymore, but they have a $1 off now)
* Alpine Provolone sliced cheese - .99 w/ store coupon and $1 off Q (use zip 30013)
* SIX Healthy Choice frozen meals = All for FREE (w/ sale and $2 off Qs) - Hubby picked these up the other night so he could take them to work.

PAID: $19.19 OOP (saved $53.45)


Next stop: Fry's

* Cream Cheese
* Knudsen's Cottage Cheese (clearance to .99 - will use in place of ricotta cheese)
* 4 Campbell's Tomato soups = FREE (used 2-$1/2 Qs)
* 2 BumbleBee tuna = FREE (used 2-$1/2 Qs)
* Tropicana OJ (used $1 off Q)
* 2-Muir Glen organic tomato paste (used $1/2 Qs)
* Gatorade = FREE (won coupon from June promo)
* Minute Brown rice = FREE (used FREE coupon from manufacturer)
* Dole salad mix
* Dried Pasta shells to make stuffed shells this week (paid full price - ACK!)

PAID: $ 12.36 OOP (saved $24.18)


Last stop: Albertsons


* Red Seedless grapes
* 2 - Eggplants
* Asparagus
* 3 -Old El Paso Tostada/Taco Shells (used 60/2 printable)
* 3- Old El Paso Enchilada Sauce (used 60/2 printable)

PAID: $7.69 OOP
(saved $19.22) + got back $3 off next purchase
