The Low-Down on Swagbucks

I receive many questions each week and one of the most consistent ones has to do with Swagbucks. Since I've been a loser and lost touch with my "Ask Me Anything" posts (I promise I'll get back to those!), I decided to do a little post to answer some questions about Swagbucks.

First and foremost, when I came across Swagbucks many, many months ago, I was a HUGE skeptic. I really thought, "I'll sign up and forget about it." I didn't believe I'd actually earn anything.

But I have. Lots, in fact. I've earned enough Swagbucks to cash in for some Amazon gift cards, which have paid for a Wii, a new coffeemaker, tons of vitamins, most of our Christmas gifts, and even our new car seat! Seriously, the money I have saved is ridiculous.

I'm enough of a believer that I'm tapping away at my keyboard into the wee-morning hours because I think everyone could be earning free Christmas gifts. :)

You might have noticed the Swag Bucks widget on the bottom of this site...waaaaay down there. It shows my current Swag Buck total, which goes up and down depending on how often I cash in.

Anyway, on to the details... and I'll try to include everything I can think of but, truthfully, I think I have the sleepy-stupids so drop me a line if you still have questions. I'd be happy to answer them!

Every time you use Swagbucks' search engine (and who doesn't use a search engine when on the web?), you can earn points to be used for prizes such as gift cards, books, and more -- and now you can even convert your points to cash with PayPal payment! My favorites are the Amazon, Target, and Starbucks gift cards but they also have some great prizes in their Swag store. I would say about every 4th or 5th search results in a Swagbuck or two for me. Those babies add up!

You can download the Swagbucks toolbar to make it easy to use them as your search engine -- you can still use Google or other search engines but why not earn prizes for doing your searching. Sometimes they will have a FREE code up there on the toolbar for you!

You also earn Swagbucks by shopping through their site and inviting your friends to join, too. Every time one of your friend's earns a point through an online search, you do too (Earn up to 100 matching Swag Bucks per friend).
