Since this was my daughter's first year starting school (well, preK), it has been our first year of packing lunches.  As a former teacher, I fully understand how important it is to send along a healthy, well-balanced lunch that's also fun to eat.

If you remember, I posted some of my favorite lunchbox recipe ideas here and, as my lunchbox recipe files were growing, I felt that I really needed a better way to pack Miss E's lunches.  Plastic baggies are convenient but oh-so bad for the environment and they seriously add up ($$) over time.

Miss E has no problem getting the one lid off and on by herself, and I actually think she eats better/more because of this handy lunchbox.  I could easily see how it would be more fun to eat your way through a visually-appealing meal, rather than a bunch of stuff shoved into little baggies.
