I have a special place in my heart for teachers...  Teaching is, and always has been, my passion.  It's what I was born to do and the most rewarding profession, other than motherhood.  I've known this was God's plan for me since I was 8 years old. 

My 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Tesner, had an unbelievable amount of energy and challange us enough to wow even ourselves.  I'll never forget the feeling she gave us, and that year I knew.  I still have the report I wrote where I outlined my future: "I want to be a teacher when I grow up."  It was written in black and white (I am certain, though, that it was written by God long before that), and the next fourteen years were spent prepping my way... it was a dream come true.  Truly.  When my daughter was born, I made the difficult decision to take a break from the classroom... little did I know that all those years of studying to be a teacher were actually preparing me for my MOST important role, my role as a mother.

I have been so blessed to stay home and teach my daughter these past few years.  Since she will be heading to school next year, that means I likely will too!  I can hardly wait for both us us to start on our paths!!
